Triple Chrome Plating

Triple Chrome Plating is our specialty at Classic Car Chrome Plating. Our process involves plating layers of copper, nickel and chromium onto the base metal, usually, steel. First, the piece is cleaned. Light sanding removes any surface rust. If rust has destroyed the metal, the rust is cut away and new steel is meticulously welded into the area by skilled craftsmen. The entire piece is then cleaned again to insure a smooth finish. Copper is then applied to smooth the surface and promote adhesion. Nickel is applied next to proved depth of shine, leveling and corrosion resistance. Chromium is applied last. Chrome provides the mirror-like finish and scratch resistance. The entire process requires skilled craftsmen to insure your bumper or trim piece will look great for many years.
